Creating Collision Among Entrepreneurs

Statement from the Board of Directors

On Feb. 10, Congresswoman Nancy Mace shared serious allegations involving our co-founders and a past board member. We recognize this situation’s gravity and its impact on our organization and the broader community. While we do not yet know the full extent of the matter, we unequivocally condemn any form of sexual violence, harassment or abuse. These alleged behaviors have no place in our community, and we are committed to navigating this situation with transparency, empathy and integrity.
Over the past decade, dozens of community leaders have played a pivotal role in shaping the Harbor Entrepreneur Center and its impact on the Lowcountry’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We acknowledge that these allegations affect our organization’s reputation and may create concern for our community. Our board of directors remains steadfast in upholding our values and credibility as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our focus remains on supporting entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and ensuring that our nonprofit and facilities provide an environment where all feel safe, valued and supported.
